We are now offering a Fall and Spring Session

Lego Social Club is an effective way for children and teens with social difficulties associated with an autism spectrum disorder to improve their social interactions and communication skills.  The club is designed for grades K - 8 and meets the 2nd Saturday of the month from 9:30 am to 11:00 am.  Donation of $3.00 per session is requested (paid with registration).  New for 2015 - Lego Club t-shirts!

Annual Household Membership

Children are special gifts. Many of us search for that perfect toy car, doll, video game, or gift card to give a child for birthdays and holidays. At the Autism Society Northwestern Pennsylvania, we have a great gift idea for the growing number of families and professionals helping those with Autism…an annual membership. 

This membership is a gift to include the sensory and social family outings for free or at reduced cost to many local sites and events in Erie.  We also offer member-only and member appreciation events. 

The cost for the membership is only $25 per household. 

In addition to the events and great support from other families and children, the benefits of community resources are abundant.  

Don't forget the grandparents!  A perfect way to include grandparents all year long.

On Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2015, all charitable donations made through www.ErieGives.org will receive a portion of The Erie Community Foundation's $150,000 matching pool. Equine Assisted Learning/Equine Assisted Psychotherapy Program for youth and young adults on the autism spectrum

Equine Assisted Learning for Individuals on the Autism Spectrum is a program to help teens and young adults (age 11—22) with autism spectrum disorders build their self-esteem and give them the tools to overcome bullying at their school and places of employment. Autism Society Northwestern Pennsylvania is collaborating with Blended Spirits Ranch in order to offer this program.

If you are interested in participating in an upcoming Equine Assisted Learning/Equine Assisted Psychotherapy Program for youth and young adults on the autism spectrum, please complete the REGISTRATION form.  Next sessions to start September 2015 on Thursday evenings from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

WHERE:  Blended Spirits Ranch – 7401 McCray Road, Fairview, PA  

The tuition is $320 per person for the 8-week session. Autism Society NWPA is sponsoring 50% of the tuition. Participants will be responsible for $160 per person for the 8 week session which is due with registration.

Insane Inflatable 5K!

We are pleased to announce the Autism Society Northwestern Pennsylvania is the charity of choice for the Erie - Insane Inflatable 5K!!  As the charity partner and sole benefactor - funds will be raised through runner donations, a dedicated charity wave and an online fundraising tool.  When registering for the event, please use the code:  AUTISM.  

Get ready to experience the most fun, wild and insane obstacle run in the world.  Get "pumped up" for a course filled with the world's largest and most extreme inflatable obstacles ever produced.  Here's your chance to be a kid at heart, and insane by choice!

Team registration is available and encouraged -- get your friends, co-workers, gym buds and more to join you at this year's most insane obstacle run! The largest team will be immortalized on the Insane Inflatable Facebook page and they encourage you to get insane with your team costumes!  Team Captains get some really cool incentives.

As the charity, Autism Society NWPA is responsible for providing at least 40 to 60 volunteers.  Would you like to help make the inaugural Insane Inflatable 5K a HUGE success?  Register to volunteer today.  Our charity volunteer MUST register through the Autism Society link.
