June Mini-Golf Outing

Join us for an afternoon of mini-golf with your family and friends. Additional activities including batting cages, bumper boats, driving range, and arcade games are available for purchase on-site at the group rate. PLEASE NOTE: We offering 4 start times. GROUP 1 & GROUP 3 (meeting at 3:00 pm & 4:00 pm) to accommodate our teens and young adults with their families. GROUP 2 & GROUP 4 (meeting at 3:30 pm & 4:30 pm) for children 12 and younger with their families.

Dance as you wish to popular songs on the radio and party dances too!

Unique Weights to Fitness

This is a  NEW Basic and Brief class of the Glenwood Y for individuals with intellectual disabilities.  It is located in the comfort zone in the lower level of the Glenwood Y.  Offering bicycles, a treadmill and a variety of weight machines...work out is based on each individual's needs and ability level.  A parent or caregiver must be present to assist as needed.  For more information, please contact Joy at happyfeetaredancing@gmail.com

Annual Household Membership

Children are special gifts. Many of us search for that perfect toy car, doll, video game, or gift card to give a child for birthdays and holidays. At the Autism Society Northwestern Pennsylvania, we have a great gift idea for the growing number of families and professionals helping those with Autism…an annual membership. 

This membership is a gift to include the sensory and social family outings for free or at reduced cost to many local sites and events in Erie.  We also offer member-only and member appreciation events. 

The cost for the membership is only $25 per household. 

In addition to the events and great support from other families and children, the benefits of community resources are abundant.  

Don't forget the grandparents!  A perfect way to include grandparents all year long.

RAFFLE ~ Handmade Doll House

"It's not what happens to you, it's what you do with it." ~ Sr. Paul Marie Westlake SOM

Sr. Paul Marie created this special doll house to donate to the Autism Society NWPA.  Growing up, she spent time  building model planes and ships.  Fifty-five years ago, she became a Sister of Mercy and in 2005, she was partially disabled after a stroke but it hasn't stopped Sr. Paul Marie from making a difference.

Today, at 83 years old, she is still building - doll houses.

Two-story Victorian Style Doll house - completely furnished

$1.00 a ticket or 6 tickets for $5.00

MONSTER TRUCK & CAR CRUISE

Bring the family and join us to show your support for Autism.  The family will enjoy a fun filled day with a custom car show.  Vote for your favorite car - awards for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and kid pick for the "Kids Choice Award."  Enjoy children's activities, food, beverages, DJ playing great music all day!  Kids can check out their favorite monster trucks and drivers up close and get autographs.

Equine Assisted Learning/Equine Assisted Psychotherapy Program for youth and young adults on the autism spectrum

Equine Assisted Learning for Individuals on the Autism Spectrum is a program to help teens and young adults (age 11—22) with autism spectrum disorders build their self-esteem and give them the tools to overcome bullying at their school and places of employment. Autism Society Northwestern Pennsylvania is collaborating with Blended Spirits Ranch in order to offer this program.

If you are interested in participating in an upcoming Equine Assisted Learning/Equine Assisted Psychotherapy Program for youth and young adults on the autism spectrum, please complete the REGISTRATION form.  You will be contacted when another session has been scheduled.  We are giving options for sessions times when you register.

WHERE:  Blended Spirits Ranch – 7401 McCray Road, Fairview, PA  

The tuition is $320 per person for the 8-week session. Autism Society NWPA is sponsoring 50% of the tuition. Participants will be responsible for $160 per person for the 8 week session which is due with registration.
